The forum looks great. May be I will join it. The theme is ok. In the header area the logo of the site is great but the banner next to it looks so different from the site. It's a good idea to use images next to the forum names but it loads slow for me too.

Not that much money. I had a somewhat popular forum but then it got boring and I do not receive clicks at all from that forum.

In my forums I use google adsense and for my other site I use CPX interactive (dumping it after I reach payout) and I use paypopup ads (I know popups are crazy but I show them only once to visitors).

Adsense is the way to make money from forums but make sure that your forum has great contents and enough members. Or else you will be stuck at $60 adsense earnings from your forums like me.
