Why some ISPs allocates their users with static IP addresses even if they have the option to allocate IP addresses dynamically via DHCP.
As most of the users don't need the static IP addresses( as they don't want their computer to be used as a server ) then what is benifit on part of the ISP to dedicate an IP address to a single user even if that user is not connected to the internet. Is this not the wastage of their IP address pool ?
