How many average users online maxxed out your shard account, slowed down your board, or got your web host to email you a nice message to upgrade or transfer?
I decided when my last shared provider (Ventures Online) refused to allow me to have remote connections to MySQL from my home computer. It also so happened that my ex-wife decided that she wanted to learn MUSHcode and we couldn't install that on a dedicated server either. So it was either switch hosts and get a second account with a Game server provider or get a dedicated server. I went with the dedicated server.
