I first started a year ago when my boss wanted a website for his company and seen as I'm good with computers he told me to do it haha :D Kinda liked it and now I have my own little site running but not really released to public yet, I'll let you guys know when its finished!

I have been designing my sites in HTML for years but I see most people designing in CSS now, Should I convert my site or leave it be?

I am thinking with my forum as I just run it on the root of my domain... maybe I should make a site with nice content to get users intersted then show them the forum after... eg) "If you liked this article check out our forums to discuss it" kinda thing. Any oppinions on that?

One thing I learnt is start off with a small amount of categories, if you have lots of categories with not many posts then it will look like a dead site. Also too many categories can make it daunting for new members to learn where things are. Keep it simple, keep it clean and easy :) :mrgreen:

Is it a good idea to hire moderators? when is your site big enough to need some moderators? I currently have over 130 members on my site and one moderator but maybe I need more?

you can never get enough promotion, every single new member helps you grow!

I need to find some more advertising companys, does anyone know any good ones?? I perfer ones styled to adsense but anything good with good pay will be awesome :D
